"The welcome bottle of wine and pleasant/helpful staff were much appreciated. The cleaning staff needs work and the property should have ‘do not disturb & make up the room’ sign/s for the maid staff. They don’t seem to know what is needed for obvious reasons. The room service & food were excellent and the balcony view of Valletta was sublime."
"Location of the hotel is great. Based in Sliema/Griza area it is a 5 minute walk to the Sliema docks where you can easily hop on a ferry or one of the gondolas (€3 per person one-way) to Valletta.
The hotel doesn't have an on-site pool but across the road there is Aqualuna which is like a beach club vibe (pool, sun loungers etc) and entrance is free to customers of the hotel. (You need to collect a receipt from hotel reception each day to access Aqualuna).
Hotel is approx 15 minutes from the airport (traffic dependent).
Room was cleaned every day and overall cleanliness of the hotel is good."
"Samuel was very helpful at reception, Kim kept the apparent spotless, the apartment was exactly as described, we even got an upgrade. The location was excellent."
"Staff were very nice and attentive especially when eating in the restaurant. Close to many shops but when in your room you can’t hear the outside noise. Very peaceful environment. The spa facilities were always clean and the staff makes you feel very comfortable when having treatments done. Very good price for the rooms given and amenities available. The app makes it easy to book things and find out more about your surroundings. The roof top pool gets booked out very fast so book in advance to guarantee a spot. Room can get quite dark during the night due to lack of lighting with the curtains closed but very nice during the day with a good about of sunlight shining through."
"Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Free entrance to Aqualuna beach club. Nice breakfast. Great location. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area, close to the passenger ferries to Valletta, Gozo, etc.
Negatives: A bit noisy, especially between the rooms. Standard rooms face a small shaft with almost no light, so it feels that there is no window."
"We had an amazing stay at The Preluna and the staff made it even better.
The room was quite large and had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with an ocean view on level 9. The room was nicely appointed with a small fridge, microwave and kitchen sink.
The outdoor pool was closed when we visited due to being off season but the indoor pool and jacuzzi were great along with the sauna and steam room.
We had bed and breakfast and the buffet was great and has everything you’d want to start your day including a station to make fresh omelettes or eggs your way.
Be wary if hiring a car and using the hotel car park, it is limited in number of spots but very difficult to get into and down multiple levels to the car park with a very narrow and tight one way lane to the bottom - if a car is coming in opposite direction, good luck.
We had to check out a day early due to a flight change out of our control and the team were very accommodating and assisted with refunding the night even though we were on a non refundable stay - very nice of them and we very much appreciated that.
The team were also fantastic with our 3 year old daughter always taking the team to talk and interact with her too.
Thanks Julian and team for a great stay we would definitely stay here again!"
