"A little piece of heaven. Very close to the Corcovado National Park, you can walk there. Everyday we would go on a hike, as soon as you walk out of the hotel you start seeing monkeys and all sorts of wildlife. Heck, you don't even need to leave the hotel. We had a group of scarlet macaws constantly hanging out in a tree right outside our room. And a brave little monkey paid a visit one day as well. The food prepared by Chef Coco was amazing! Everything was sourced locally and made from scratch....

"What a great place, we loved it! It is small, just seven one- and two-bedroom villas, so it feels very much like a private retreat. We stayed in #3 which had an amazing view of the ocean. The food (we had one dinner and two breakfasts) was the best we had on this trip to Costa Rica. Can highly recommend the mani-mahi, and also the fresh pasta with shrimp and aurora sauce -- a tangy tomato sauce. Don't miss the wildlife sanctuary just up the road. "We had a wonderful 3 night stay at La Cusinga Lodge, starting from being met in the parking area by Mabel, the welcome alcohol free cocktail and the friendly waiting staff. Our room was very large (Trogon) with a inside seating area and huge balcony. The bathroom walls and floor are all lined with pebbles, very "flintstonesque". It was my birthday during our stay and the lodge put fresh flowers in our room and decorated the bed with rose petals. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast

"Everything was fine except the elevator was out of service and there were 23 stairs, hard for someone like me with mobility issues. Also, the photos make it seem as though the rooms have private balconies, but they do not. A common walkway connects the rooms and there are chairs for sitting on that walkway. Rooms 211 &212 would be best to avoid foot traffic in front of your room and also have the best views. Food in restaurant was good and included breakfast

"Such a beautiful peaceful place for a week (or more) stay. The rooms are gorgeous with big fans and AC if needed. Right on the quietest most tranquil beach I have had to pleasure of walking on. No one around and was easy to do a 6 mile walk and stretch your legs. Super gentle water to swim in and I rented a paddle board for several days to enjoy the Ocean. We accessed Corcavado National park within minutes to the launch point to see Sloths, birds and much more! All this topped with a delicious...
