I had a wonderful, and far too brief, stay here! The location is off the beaten path, but the views are fantastic. Had the weather cooperated, it would be perfect for Northern Lights! The individual pod cottages offer spectacular, unobstructed views and a sense of intimacy. Exceptionally clean, classy and cozy. A 10 out of 10 for an amazing property.

Great location and lovely house.

Very clean. Lovely Mountain Views. Very bright so definitely bring a face mask to help with sleeping. Kitchen was great for cooking!

The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.

Lovely room. Staff were excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious along with the included breakfast. One of the best hotels we stayed in while in Iceland

The most friendly and helpful hotel staff we've ever met. The hotel is located in a beautiful valley that overlooks the hills and the sunset. The outdoor hot bath was an amazing experience and wonderful amenity. Breakfast was delicious as well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

The property was beautiful. Updated, and the staff is very friendly. There was no parking, so that got a little pricey if you wanted to park close to the hotel, but I think that’s the norm in Reykjavík. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland.

This was a nice guesthouse. It’s far out from the main road and a really quiet area.

We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5...

I had the most enjoyable stay at Eyja Guldsmeden! A very clean hotel with excellent service! The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. Special thanks to Laura who was super nice and helpful with dining recommendations! Will be back!

Really nice property. Nice restaurant. Very clean and nice guesthouse. Spacious. Property has nice geothermal lagoon and cold lake.. that was awesome. Nice place for kids to run around and play. Really nice northern lights. Would stay here again for sure.

Just wanted to say the staff here made our trip memorable. The breakfast was fantastic. Prior to arriving I let the staff know we would be arriving early due to a early flight and needed to freshen up due to me proposing. They made the accommodation. Rooms are in small wooden cabins, some of them with an excellent view on the waterfalls. Nice restaurant with good breakfast.
