This was a very small but adorable room in the inn. The mural was such a nice addition. There was limited space for the two of us and I'm not sure if I would have wanted to stay for the whole week in a room of this size with limited amenities like an in-room fridge or tv, but it worked well for the night. We did store some items in a small fridge that seemed communal in the hall and there was coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the shared dining space. In the morning there was an incredible breakfast spread available that was my favorite breakfast of the trip by far. The check-in and out process was very easy and there was easy street parking if the spots are taken by the inn.

This quirky little hotel brought a smile as I walked into our room. Each room has a large mural by Juan Arctic that imagines a better world over seen by a puffin. We stayed in World Peace, the dining room lists all the names of the other rooms. Sadly we didn’t get to view them. Breakfast was good and filling and staff was very helpful in showing the local weather apps so we could monitor the expected blizzard.

First the positives - the hotel is well located, the couple looking after us for breakfast were very nice and helpful and the breakfast though a bit limited was more than adequate. And the negatives - We booked through Expedia (who for our other 27 bookings on this trip have been excellent) and specifically selected a 12 sqm Basic Double Room. We arrived and checked in electronically to find our room was what appeared to be an 8 sqm single room with a very small double bed squashed into a very small space. They have repeatedly advised us that this is the room we paid for and have refused to apologise though at the same time offered a 25% refund. They have also insisted that they do not have an 8 sqm room at their hotel even though it is clearly listed and described with photos on their own website. They did message us on the second night offering to relocate us in a bigger room but this message was sent after we went to bed and did not see until the following morning when we were checking out. They tried to justify by describing their hotel as "budget" hostel type accommodation but at about 80,000 ISK for the 2 nights, it is certainly not budget priced. Be very careful if you decide to book this hotel, a quick check by us whilst we were there revealed we could have selected a much better standard of accommodation at a much lower price.
