I couldn't imagine how came the overall rating for InterContinental down to 4 but this is the one of the best hotels I've ever been stayed. Spacious room, invincible cleanliness, and super friendly and accommodating staff. The transportation is not a problem for me either as long as you go to the concierge service in the luxurious lobby, and then they will quickly help you dispatch and Taxi to everywhere in Changsha city. Had a great stay here, big thanks to Mr. Deng 小邓 at the front desk. Super helpful guy, made everything easy. Helped me figure out the metro and pointed me to some awesome local food spots that weren’t just the usual tourist stuff. Felt like chatting with a friend, not just hotel staff. Place was clean and solid overall, but Xiao Deng definitely made the trip better. Cheers man!

A great place to stay.

Very nice room, but the hotel needs to provide more options for food because it's very isolated and there are no restaurants nearby. I tried to order lunch (a simple bowl of noodles) but they said it would take about 40 minutes. When I went down to the dining room, my meal was still not ready. After waiting one hour, the staff said it would take more time to prepare my noodles. I said I couldn't wait so they gave me a small bowl of food and rice.

Pretty interesting hotel design. The reception hall is above the guest rooms, unlike the traditional hotel. But every things are above standard. The location is right in the center of tourist attractions. I like this hotel very much.
