Great location rustic older accommodations(great island feel) scary kitchen areas lol 😂 views forever On cruise days you’ll need to leave the whole resort as owner rents out entire beach and areas to cruisers and you have no room to move or enjoy the place you spent thousands on while cruisers spend $25. The restaurant is super expensive but next door is perfect and exceptionally good food for normal pricing. They have no problem if you use their pool while eating or drinking or their dock to snorkel off of. Cruisers stay at fosters and clog it up just walk next door. Greg-o is a staff member who went so far above and beyond it felt like a private guide plus our activities with him were a fraction of the tourist pricing just be sure to tell him you don’t want expensive food stops. Mr Foster showed us the perfect place across the street called keyhole dreams where you can watch sunrise from ancient coral Rocky area where the ocean comes into a “keyhole” area and splashes against the rocks. Pristine beauty and there’s a playground plus bar and restaurant for lunch and dinner but no one knows it’s all there. Pool top up high for the view. Over all a great place for an island stay just sucks they let all the cruisers in 3-4 days per week. But if you can find something else to do during those days it’s wonderful. Staff is fantastic and the cleaning lady will even do your laundry for a tip so you can have less clothes to bring.

The lights went off for almost 5 hours took them a while to fix it and it was hot. I kept trying to contact the desk person no one answered and no one reached out to me at least for an explanation or courtesy I was expecting to hear We give you a discount for the inconvenience for next staying in our hotel that was very disappointing to me.

The only thing good about Foster’s was the location & view. Mr Daniel was also great too. The property is not very clean, we turned the faucets on when we got there and had nothing come out of the hot side at all. We complained and they said they fixed it. It wasn’t much better… the shower had a trickle come out, at best. No a/c in the bathroom, so they kept the windows open- with no screens, and 99 degrees, 88% humidity. By the time you took a “shower” in the barely trickling water, and the sweat and bug bites were extreme. -The bed felt like a brick, and was MISERABLE. -We asked before coming if there was a safe in the room, and they said yes. (There ended up being 2) but neither worked and the keys were gone. -The property has a “lagoon” coming across the front of it, and pouring into the ocean each time it rains. Workers said it is just rain water that dumps when it gets full, but it smells like 100% sewer, and so awful. -the property claims a kitchenette, and although the cabinets are loaded with pans, there is mo stove, and the microwave would not pop a bag of popcorn. -They do have an onsite restaurant, but it is way overpriced compared to the other restaurants in the area. My husband ordered orange juice and received some sort of powder “tang” mix. This restaurant also added in a tip on the bill, as well as gratuity! Location of the property was amazing was amazing, but they need to desperately put some money into the property, and get it cleaned up.

No vayan al HOTEL FORESTERS BAY RESORT

El Hotel Foresters es una ESTAFA. Desde el ingreso a la propiedad del hotel es un DESASTRE. No está asfaltado es de terracería, con grandes agujeros, olor fétido de agua acumulada y no tiene iluminación. Las habitaciones son incómodas, amuebladas con equipo de cocina y muebles viejos. El agua "potable" que sale de los grifos, es agua salada y con mal olor, los drenajes del hotel están a flor de tierra no tienen fosa séptica y el agua la descargan al mar por medio de un canal. El hotel tiene muy poca iluminación exterior y el diseño de las habitaciones absolutamente incómodas y en mal estado.

Great Island but don’t stay in treehouse

We stayed in the treehouse, which looked great in photos on hotel.com but in truth was greatly overpriced. We have stayed in cheap beach huts in India and Thailand so don’t mind roughing it but we expect to pay accordingly. The most they should charge is $20. The staff were lovely and very helpful and we loved the Island of Roatan.
