It was well located and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were pretty basic and what was called air conditioning was really non-existent. It was expensive for what it offered.

Paid just under £1000 for 2 nights, Lady at breakfast was friendly, staff at front desk generally indifferent (apart from when we checked in, different man) Room was good but I am unsure whether it’s worth just under £500 per night. Due to the location I would like to stay again but I would value it around 250 / 300 per night as opposed to 475+

Lovely unique with very convenient location. It is a listed building so wear and tear is expected. Scaffolding is up at the moment but didn’t really affect our stay.

It is cool that this is located in such a historic property, and they have thoughtful touches in the rooms (nice soap, old fashioned bath tubs, good quality water in glass bottles). I left my reservation early because I woke up to little bugs biting me in the bed. I’ve never experienced this before. They assured me that these were not bed bugs but advised that I sterilize my traveling things all the same. The windows do not open (for “safety”) and the air/ac does not work so there was no fresh ventilation in the room. The mattress had also settled like the building and was quite uneven in the places where people tend to sleep.

Room was a bit tired and exceptionally dark as there was scaffolding outside the window - a warning would have been appreciated! Otherwise comfortable, nice smellies in the bathroom and plenty of space. Most of the staff could not have been more helpful.
