For that price range, it can't get any better. Rooms are large and comes with bathtub, which is rare. Has a swimming pool and one of the most affordable laundry around. Train station is walkable, with bus stop within a short walk and surrounded by eateries. Hotel may be a bit dated, thus it does look old school and worn out a bit but overall for the price would gladly return without a heartbeat.

Hotel 81 Tristar was in an excellent location. It was close enough to the city that we could easily travel to attractions but far away enough that we felt like we were surrounded by normal Singaporean people. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was a good size and clean.

This is a gorgeous retreat hotel. Pool and ocean side by side with a beautiful buffet breakfast for 2 dollars a couple. Make sure you ask. Staff friendly and helpful in every way. I will come back. Your a street removed so not as noisy. Tons of restaurants and night life. Tours at hotel reasonable and they take care of everything. I’m solo so great place, so beautiful the surroundings.

Great stay in a nice neighbourhood. Good size rooms, good air condition, lots of restaurants near by, mrt stop near the hotel and very reasonably priced. All the things you need. Had also great service. Fridge in the room was nice and water bottles were provided daily. Only the shower was bit strange but had good pressure and hot water so all good.

Good side: the place is very convenient to move around via public transport. There are lots of restaurants nearby with good mix food for ec=veryone. Bad side: The rooms were not totally soundproof and can hear guest walking in and out, even sound of laughter can be heard from the next room.

Excellent service and pleasant stay.

The staff are courteous. The room is of good size. Clean and comfortable. Many eateries nearby. Convenient and alot of shops nearby. Thank you to the staff that made my stay pleasant and comfortable. We will definitely book again.

Very tired property in need of urgent renovation. Torn linen, chipped bathroom. Not even 2 stars advertised as 3 stars. Only 3 hangers for 2 people, nowhere to sit when the room was advertised as having a chair and a stool. The room was a decent size and could easily fit advertised furniture. Staff is very unresponsive. The room meant to have slippers, but non provided. The only positive is location. Walking distance to MRT, plenty of dining options around.

When i made the booking and what made me do it was the price and also the fact that they had CABLE TV, however when i got there they had only 1 channel in english, when i complaint to the manager, i was given a feeble excuse about covid but no CABLE TV. I spend 5 days there and will NOT ever book this hotel. they are misleading.Do not believe anything HOTEL 81 advertise,its very misleading and too late when you have booked online . Pity its a good location.Disapointed

The floor of toilet was wet. The air conditioner had water leaking problem. The chair in my room was broken and was being taken away without any replacement. The only one washing machine in the hotel was out of order. The sound proof of the room was very bad…very noisy at midnight and early morning.

Budget hotel with worn out bed

The floor is DISGUSTING. After taking shoes and socks off and walking around the room for 10 minutes while settling in, my feet were black. Do staff mop the hotel without cleaning the mop? The room was great for a budget hotel with everything needed but the bed is stuffed. Throw it out. Its totally sagging and gave me a very sore back

It's a great area, everything works, the pool is great, it's lovely and spacious. It's basic, the decor is tired, but priced accordingly. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. We love it as an overnighter on our travels.

バスタブもあってあの部屋の広さ。とても快適でした。

特に虫に刺されることもなく快適に寝られました。他の方のレビューにもありますが確かにすごく小さな虫を洗面所付近でたまに見かけますが刺されるようなことはありませんでした。 プールも綺麗で快適です。シンガポールのこのくらいの価格帯のホテルは軒並み高い割に物凄く部屋やシャワールームが狭いです。私が他に泊まったホテルは大きめのスーツケースを床に広げるスペースすらありませんでしたがこのホテルは大丈夫でした。広いです。また、バスタブがある宿も少ないです。シャワーを使うとトイレまでびしょ濡れになるホテルが多い中この広さはすごいです。ただ、バスタブはやや浅めで寝湯のような感じです。 ホテルのすぐ下に食事のできる食堂があり、朝からやっています。また、歩いて通りを渡ったぐらいのすぐ近くに大きなショッピングセンターや市場のような大きな建物がいくつもあるため非常に便利です。プールへは3階のフロアから行くのですが、非常階段から行っては行けません。一度階段に出るとドアがロックされるため一階に降りないと出られなくなります。私は水着とバスタオルでその食堂のあるホテルの周りを一周するハメになり恥ずかしかった。

People complain about this hotel need to understand that it is old, guests eat in their rooms so thus ant will come! Finding another hotel with large rooms and a swimming pool at this price is hard to find! The taxi drivers are very impressed for the value!
