Tired hotel but great location

Great location but tired hotel. Rooms average decor and condition. Table d'hote was decent portions but not terribly good food for £27 a head. No check in until 3pm and bar not open until 3pm. Go to bistro next door, very nice and mosen with great food.

Views to die for

Fantastic location for a nights stay before travelling to Islay from Cumbria. Amazing views across Long Loch. Hotel was spacious but a wee bit dated. Food was delicious and all the staff we encountered were really friendly

Decent stay

Staff were wonderful, helpful and attentive. Room was adequate. The bathroom had mold behind the shower faucet, the tub dripped constantly and the toliet flushed and the continued to flush for two minutes. Other than that the location was beautiful. The food was delicious but a bit over priced. We met a lot of other wonderful people Traveling and everyone was very friendly. Bartender, Nathan? Was also at breakfast and was very smiley and helpful.

Great value for money with lovely views

The room has a great view of the loch and the hotel is close to many great areas around Loch Long and Loch Lomond. The water pressure in the shower was not good and the beds were narrow, albeit comfortable. The restaurant had a very limited menu and the breakfast buffet was not all that great. The staff was very friendly and the whole experience of the hotel was lovely, otherwise.

Great for a stop over or short break.

Great staff and location, hotel is very shabby chic but makes up in location, price and friendly staff. Saturday night singer was excellent.

8/10 Very good

Spent 1 night here, to break the journey back to England, hotel in a good location near to the loch. Had a meal in the restaurant, the service was good. Breakfast choice good, but cooked breakfast could have been hotter. Building is a bit dated and a bit scruffy especially round the back of the building otherwise a good stay.

Lovely old-world charm

We had a lovely one-night stay at the Arrochar Hotel. We had a large room with seating area overlooking the bay and mountains. Beautiful! Staff were great and Saturday night's music entertainment with Graham was top notch. The hotel itself could do with a bit of sprucing up inside - furniture in the bedroom was quite worn, for example - but service was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Right by the Loch

Has everything that you might need for a night stay. Right by the Loch with very nice views. Little dated, but thats its charm in itself! Very friendly staff. Recommend

A little Scottish Gem

The staff were very very helpful - we asked for help or assist and changes and nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel with a view

Liked it so much I returned a few days later. Staff are a credit to the place. The views from the Loch View Rooms, restaurant, bar and beer garden are outstanding. The food was delicious.
James, 1-night trip

Nice, but.

Comfortable hotel with beautiful views and friendly staff. Very clean but tired. We booked because we had confirmation there would be entertainment. Were informed at check in that there was none (when we asked). Singer was on holiday and no alternative arranged. Had we been notified, we would have rearranged.

4/10 Fair

Old Hotel beyond its best days

The hotel was in all aspects not recommendable: reception staff were uninterested and slow, service overall lackluster. Room super warm and windows don't open properly such that it didn't even cool down over night (AC is not available). Room was towards the road and very noisy. The whole hotel clearly has seen better days and in many places is just old. Breakfast was OK.
