The double room I booked was very small and the bed was tired and not particularly comfortable. The shower was fine, however, and the hotel is conveniently situated for the old town. I thought the cost was pretty exorbitant considering that it didn’t include breakfast.

Had business in Tallinn and decided to try Rixwell. Location is very good in the old town, close to both restaurants, bars and shopping. I think it is quite torn and need renovation. Staff is doing their job but could and should be much more friendly. Poor breakfast with swedish measures, but it will take you through the day.

I stayed for a week, and enjoyed the large room with seating furniture. And the price was good, I brought my AppleTV and could see my TV-things on the wall-mounted TV, which was good to have. There was only bath soap for the shower, so I was glad to bring shampoo and conditioner. Cleaning was good and only when you requested it, perfect in my book. The fridge was useful. The location is very good, just next to the Viru Gate and with in-house cafe and restaurant. Breakfast is served until 10.30 and 11 which I found very useful too, and checkout is at 12, also very good. I hate early checkouts. The room also had a water boiler, which I didn't use, but really a nice thing to have. The service was very friendly in general.

It is charming like a Sowjetclinic. The Beds are no real beds. How shall I describe the view out of the window, the wall of the other building is 1 Meter away. In the night you don't have to go in a night club, if you wish to hear music. If you wan't to sleep, impossible. The breakfast is not really that bad, but not that good. They have advertisements where they tell you that dieect bookers have room upgrade... So I guees the issue was not booking direct. Positive, the parking lot and you are direct in the old town.

Great location, right next to the Viru Gate. Easy walking access to Old Town. Room was comfortable. Was surprised to find ear plugs amongst the provided toiletries and then realized why. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is definitely noise from festivities (usual bar crowd) outside. It's not overbearing but definitely noticeable. Did not have the noise Thursday and Sunday nights. Would recommend staying here despite noise.

The first room bedding was horrible, with springs coming out of the mattress. Thankfully, I was offered a new room with better bedding. Unfortunately, the heating in the second room did not work, even on Maximum, the room was very cold. Overall the hotel needs definitely renovation inside the building. The city center - a great stay in the vicinity of dining, shopping, and old town places. The room I received was rather small, but okay for a night or two. The bed was comfortable and clean. The rug and the floor covers looked dated and ready to be replaced. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Perfect for exploring. 3 quick notes first if you are not used to bright sun between 4am - 12pm to blinds will not keep the room dark - easily rectified by use of an eye mask, second only one small elevator - be ready to wait or be happy to take the stairs some times, third you’ll have to walk a bit for food that isn’t in the tourist area - again only a problem if you choose it to be
