Nice place. Nice location. Quiet. Modern and new. Easy to park. Room equipped with Nespresso coffee maker. Restaurant is quite good. Be warned the hotel does clean rooms during your stay unless specifically requested. Unfortunately for us they did not mention at check in. At a high-end stay we expected daily housekeeping. When we returned at 4pm the room was not cleaned. I asked why at the front desk, and was informed this is a “request only” facility. I mentioned for the amount we were being charged this should be included automatically (like other stays on our trip). No action and no empathy by staff. Then I gave a 2-star rating about “the check-in lack of communication”, and by 6:30pm a knock at the door to clean. Sorry, we expected this while we were out for the day, and now relaxing for the evening. I went to front desk to learn why they were ok now to clean. “Because they saw the 2-star rating”. So no action the first time, and then action when made public. Wow! Management needs to modify this practice, and how to keep customers happy, especially with an industry common practice of tidying up rooms at high $$ stays. MTN House By Basecamp can do better. I’m providing this as a PSA to future guests - make sure you request complimentary housekeeping.
