My second stay at Hotel Mondial. Please note. The hotel is currently being renovated (May 2025). Therefore there is building work noise during the day, including Saturday.
Unfortunately I was not assigned a newly renovated room so I am unable to comment on the new rooms.
My room was fine, although very tired. Fortunately I booked early and secured a good price.
The bed was extremely comfortable, less so the pillows. But I am a very fussy pillow user! The bathroom was small and the toilet was temperamental. There is a kettle, which was welcome, with top up drinks in the foyer, and bottles of water in the fridge.
The breakfast is buffet style and plenty of simple choices to fill you up.
The biggest negative for me was that the room was at the front of the hotel and therefore was very noisy with nighttime revellers passing by until the early hours.
The previous room was at the back of the hotel and extremely quiet.
The local area is buzzing and busy. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Metro stations close by and in a great area for exploring.
I would stay again but I would insist on a room away from the main entrance.
