Change of Hotel Name but Service remains Great!

This hotel used to be Peninsula-Excelsior Hotel operated by YTC group but recently it has been changed to Wyndham Singapore Hotel. Ever since I visited Singapore way in the late 1980's, this hotel has been called my home in Singapore. I noticed that the renovation after it becomes Wyndham is welcoming. The hallways and room are brighter. But one thing I need to point out is the breakfast buffet is kind of downgraded (unlike before during Peninsula-Excelsior days)

Staff were all very pleasant and helpful including concierge and housekeeping. Reception staff were always available to assist. Very nice. I had a long stay of 11 nights. I had a big spacious room. It was lovely with a city view. Bright and comfortable. Big bed. Clean. Location is perfect. City Hall MRT is a few minutes' walk away. You can connect directly to Changi Airport on the East-West Line. There are shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Busy area but rooms are quiet for a peaceful rest at night. You can walk to Clarke Quay in under 10 minutes where there are loads of restaurants and bars. I didn't include breakfast nor use any of the hotel facilities as I was out most of the time. For me, I wanted a convenient clean hotel in a good central location, a nice comfortable bed and act5f hot shower to come back to at night. This was perfect for me. I would stay here again.

This is a beautiful property and, for the most part, the staff was great. My only issue is that on the last day there, I found a live cockroach in my bathroom. I almost lost my mind as I have a phobia about roaches. I informed the manager. He apologized and told me to put it in the feedback. So here it is.
