"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. "Very nice hotel in Puerto Ayora. Enjoyed watching the sea life from the restaurant. Easy access to town with water taxi ($1). Enjoyed the 2 mile walk to Tortuga Bay - amazing beach. Also an easy walk to the Darwin Center. "

There are 2 mini markets nearby for your essentials, and its a short taxi ride to town. Oscar and Ronal were very attentive in helping me book a tour, give recommendations of places to eat and even help me book a ferry on my last day. Overall, I would 100% recommend this hotel to family and friends. "

Owner told me it would cool down and to let her know if I didn't need it "cold like hers (friend's room) I would be fine but I could switch it in the morning.
