"This apartment was nicely appointed and roomy, it would be an excellent choice for a long term stay. It was clean and straightforward instructions on parking. The location was also great for public transportation having a main station nearby. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby."
"This property ought not to be used for human habitation. The building is generally filthy as well as rat infested. The facility is badly misrepresented in the advertising- I could not bring myself to stay in this hovel nor would I recommend it to even my foes."
"So good, but the entrance is unkept because they are sharing entrance with other companies. Both companies should join hand and maintain the entrance"
"Sehr gut mit der Straßenbahn erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichbar. Sehr angenehmer Kontakt zur Vermieterin. Gute Ausstattung der Wohnung."
"The property is nice but very far from the center of Vienna. Toiletries should be included or at least mentioned if it’s absent.
The washer/dryer almost never available.
No, I wouldn’t recommend this property to a friend."
"Lovely, old (and old world) European hotel. Nice, quiet neighborhood, but convenient to most everything in Central Vienna. Tram stop/subway station a short walk away. Good restaurant on premises. Only real complaint"
"All the staff were very friendly, and the room was exceptionally quiet and clean, making my one-week stay very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was also excellent, one of the best parts of my stay. I would definitely love to stay at this hotel again on my next visit."
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design during our week in Vienna. We were traveling as three generations: grandma, mom, and daughter, and the hotel was a great choice for all of us.
The location was excellent. We were able to explore so much of Vienna using public transportation and walking, and we loved coming back each day to the quieter Josefstadt neighborhood. It gave us easy access to the major sights without feeling like we were staying in the middle of a busy tourist...
"Great hotel, very clean, excellent location. Very cool neighborhood lots of cool coffee and bars and easy to walk to some of the nicest parts of Vienna. Hotel was like new and the staff were great. I would definitely stay here again."

If you want to see a show while you're in town, try and grab some tickets at Theater des Augenblicks in Wahring. If you enjoy the show and want to see another, Volksoper Vienna is just a short walk away.
This property met our needs very well. It was located away from downtown Vienna but was right next to the subway system and only 10-15 minutes to get to the downtown. The property was very comfortable and met our needs well. They were in contact with us before our arrival with instructions for getting our key (as we had a late arrival) and easily available either during their regular front desk hours or by email. Very responsive to our needs. The apartment was cleaned 1 time per week. All...
A lovely hotel in a superb location. A tram stop is right across the street, and the Rathaus square (and Christmas market, Vienna's largest) is an easy walk. Staff were very nice, and the breakfast buffet is sumptuous. We loved Eiles, the coffee bar/restaurant just half a block away.
When we arrived in Vienna, many streets were closed for a parade and the taxi could not get closer than 1 km from the hotel. I am mobility impaired and the hotel sent someone with a wheelchair to take me to the hotel and then he returned to take my companion with 2 suitcases to the hotel. Service in excess! The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff was the best! Next time in Vienna I will definitely return.
A very good location for the hotel and the things that we wanted to do in town. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Very easy to get from the hotel to the other locations we were interested in. A minor, is that the Breakfast was not included, but that was not a problem.
We enjoyed our stay at The Companion hotel! The rooms are small, but designed well so that you still feel like you have plenty of space for storage and separation of bathroom ammenities. The gentlemen at the front desk were super friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. There is a great restaurant and bar located at the property and it is also conveniently located to the train station, making it easily accessible to everywhere in Vienna. Overall, this hotel is a great value!
Old apartment building concerted to a boutique hotel. It was done very well with stylish comfortable rooms and nice amenities. If you are looking for a conventional hotel this is not it. If you want a room that is comfortable and stylish with fine amenities coupled with great service, I would highly recommend the Altstadt.
Wonderful staff and breakfast. Room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities! Easy to get there with the metro...you literally come up out of the subway and arrive at the hotel. Very cool views of St Stephens church and the delightful Christmas market!
Not much of a boutique hotel person but definitely was very pleased with this hotel. Largest bed I have seen or slept on in Europe , pillows soft and comfortable. Room and bathroom larger than most places and well design. Close to all main attractions. Definitely would recommend to stay here .
Great little hotel. Room was plenty big for our family of four. The train station was only about a 5 minute walk and the tram to take you into the city was just right across the hotel. Loved the check in process as well, everything done over the tablet in the lobby and fortunately our room was ready way before we expected which was helpful after a long travel day. Would stay here again.
Amazing experience. It was everything I wanted for the trip and some more. The location couldn’t be better. The hotel is so pretty and clean. I will definitely go there again and again.
