"Great place. My bed was quite comfortable and the other facilities were good too. Friendly staff. Near a convenient bus stop and not too far of a walk from Bergen downtown. A grocery store is next door."

"Fantastic property with breathtaking views of the bergen waterfront. Enjoyed our stay"

"Fantastic breakfast, omelette menu, smoked fish, kelp smoothies, chia pudding, brown cheese plus all the usual breakfast items. Breakfast was busier towards the weekend, noticeably different from the Tuesday. A nice surprise for is was free spa access in the morning (Tues-Fri) during our mid September stay, which was fab….loved the snow room. Fridge in room was a bit noisy but we just turned it off at the switch inside. Great location, just minutes from waterfront and close to bars and...

"It’s a short walk from Bergen station but is situated in such a beautiful part of the city. While it can be hilly, I think the water views are well worth the extra steps."

"Perfect place to stay overnight prior ferry from Bergen, free parking, excellent breakfast, calm and quiet surroundings"

"Great location right in the heart of Bergen. Small hotel feels like an oasis."

"The hotel is charming and located in a very attractive neighbourhood, steps from a great park and museums, and still close to the centre of town. Our room was quiet and tastefully decorated. We were grateful to be on the first floor as it minimized our daily climb. I would have felt differently if we had to climb multiple stories to our room. A lift would be welcome. The breakfast was generous with lots of variety and always abundantly restocked by friendly staff. And coming home in late...

"Excellent location within walking distance of Bryygan, the funicular, the ferry dock, and an easy 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal. They serve an amazing hot breakfast buffet with many options. Coffee and tea is always available in the foyer. The standard room is a bit small, so opt for an upgraded room. Beds are comfortable, good shower with plenty of hot water. The staff is very helpful and speak perfect English. Thon is chain hotel but this never felt like a chain. It stays quite...

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved our stay. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, our bed was comfortable, and the washroom was the nicest of any hotel I've stayed in. I never wanted to get out of the shower in the morning. It's also in a great area near the port, with plenty of restaurants and shops, and a short walk to the Fløibanen (mountain rail car) with a beautiful view of Bergen from the mountaintop. Staying at the Charmante Skostredet helped make our honeymoon wonderful and...
