Very good value for the price. Got the most basic room on offer but there was still plenty of space to move around. Very good view of Ulrikken from the room. About 5 minutes walk from the Danmarks Plass stop on the Bybanen and the shop beside the hotel was very handy. The lift system is a bit odd and takes a long while to do anything. Would have been good if the stairs were available to normal exit. Otherwise it's a great option of you want something close to central Bergen that doesn't cost a huge amount.

Woke up 5am when the alarm on the next door door lock went off. It was sounding for 45 minutes. Not very clean bathroom, there was hair and used, dried out contact lenses on the floor. Last evening I had to change rooms as the lock on my door stopped working. A staff member first tried to mend it with a sledgehammer. Not at all a hotel I would recommend.

Loved the hotel and location. The hotel restaurant's food was very good. The breakfast buffet was very good as well. Staff were exceptional. The room was very nice and the view was absolutely stunning. There was a supermarket right in the same parking lot which was very very convenient. I wish there was a shuttle bus because the walk up the steep hill with suitcases were a workout. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable overnight stay

The buffet breakfast was nice, on the 5th floor where one could get a nice view of the surrounding neighborhood. The presence of a supermarket next door was also nice. But it is a long 30 min walk from the train station, the rain doesn't help, and really not near the shops and sights.

This was the 2nd stay at this property. I was pleased that they read my first review and I was offered a bigger room at no cost which was very appreciated :) The hotel is very nice and the included breakfast was very good - special shoutout to the lady who manages the breakfast - she is very nice and very pleasant to talk to and she made the breakfast more enjoyable.

Downside: The room was lacking in plug sockets, we only had a double socket by the window but because we are from UK and need to use adaptor plug it then meant we couldn't use the 2 Nd socket as blocked by adapter. The hotel is older with a futuristic remodel. Interesting patterns on walls and furniture but still feels old and not necessarily clean. Picture is deceiving. That is not a pool. Breakfast had large selection of food but was just okay. Beds were not very comfy & while place felt like a cheap renovation. Staff was nice and friendly. Offers umbrella to borrow but charges for shampoo & conditioner. The place is fine for a quick stay but nothing special. Parking cost extra.
