As a person in a wheelchair, I appreciated the simple layout of the rooms. Easy place to store my chair (I'm always looking for the place of the outlets) and pretty simple desk chairs to use. The beds are always too high for me so I always need to boost myself with the desk chairs. Some hotels go over the top with their desk chairs making it hard to climb into bed. But this was pretty straight forward.

We are a retired American couple. We stayed at the Howie for 2 days. The location is excellent. It is literally about 50 ft from some of the most famous "lanes" in Melbourne. The ground floor has a cafe which was very busy each day. There are countless eateries on the streets surrounding the hotel. There is a coin operated washer & dryer availabe, which worked great (the front desk will make change for you). The staff was very friendly & helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
