Until now, I had not written a review of a hotel, and felt this time was important to do. Cleanliness is very important to me and my husband, and our room was immaculate. The owner was extremely kind, and went out of his way to help. We had made reservations at the last minute, after having a negative experience with a vacation rental. It was such a relief, walking into Hotel Seranata, and be greeted with such positive energy.

Hacienda Santa Rosa will forever live in my memory as one of the most magical places I've stayed. Despite being managed by a hotel chain, it hasn't lost its patina and authenticity. We had to leave our Airbnb early due to excessive noise and ended up here. This place is sooo quiet. The room: layout was spacious and well thought out with a comfy bed. There were some complaints in the reviews of the shower not getting hot. We initially thought we had that problem too but after at least 2 minutes of letting the water run it turned hot. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are great, the public areas are airy and spacious and covered in lush greenery. The restaurant was good too - I especially enjoyed the flank steak. At the weekend this is a perfect spot - the Mexican Nights musical program takes place right outside the hotel so you have a ringside seat. A beautiful well kept hotel a half-block from the central plaza. We loved the big open feel of the courtyard, bar, pool, and dining area of the historic Spanish architecture. Our room was nice and airy too. Super quiet at night. We liked the honey shampoo and the chocolate soap bar. The little things. Lastly, the ADO station is a short walk away as is most everything a visitor to Valladolid might wish. We’re talking Ek Balam, Chichan Itza, and many many cenotes.
