Favorite Hotel In Fargo.

This is my favorite hotel in the Fargo area. The staff is helpful and friendly, especially Ben at the front desk. The restaurant is decent and the vibe of the lobby is great. I am sure I will be back soon.

Racist desk clerk

I walked to check-in at 1130pm, after the movers had left my home. The front desk clerk didn't say hello or welcome to the Four-point Sheraton hotel. I got a how may I help you after five minutes of her looking at her monitor. I tried showing her my confirmation that she ignored and asked me for an ID and a card for incidentals. Mind you, I don't stay at hotels all the time, so when she said incidentals, I had no clue what she was talking about. Nor did she have the courtesy to explain it to me or tell me how much they charge for incidentals. The hotel's chip reader wasn't working, so I had to swipe my card. So my card was declined. When my card declined she came around the counter, took my card, and tried to swipe my card herself. She had an attitude toward me after I told her I had paid for my reservation online. And proceeded to tell to me that she couldn't help me if I don't have a card for incidentals. She then told me I had to call hotels.com and ask for a refund for my reservation. I got upset and immediately called my husband to come to the hotel to solve the issue. As soon as my husband, who happens to be white came in to ask what was going on. The clerk's demeanor changed she explained with courtesy that she needed a card for incidental’s. I don’t feel I should be treated less for being Hispanic.

This is my fifth time in 2025 staying at this hotel. Typically, my visits are very pleasant. However this time I checked in at 7 PM and my hotel room did not have any hand soap, bath soap, and around 10 to 15 hairs that were not mine on the bathroom floor and tub. I called the front desk two different times asking if someone could bring soap up so I could wash my hands and no one ever showed up.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke & I was told they were full for the night, so I couldn't be moved. Then I waited 14 minutes for the front desk guy (@ 9am, when people typically are checking out) to come back to the front desk. After some discussion, the desk guy offered to refund half of pet deposit. Then told me he wasn't able to do it. I phoned the manager & requested a new folio be sent with the refund. 4.5 hours later, I haven't heard anything.
