Rooms and staff were great. The beach isn't really swimable since its either too shallow or filled with upside down jellyfish. By not having cars or trucks on the property, it was very peaceful and quiet. The "inside out" design of the resort with its white adobe brick walls, the mangrove forest, and the lush vegetation everywhere made me feel that I was surrounded by the natural world of this former presidential retreat. The spa was by far the best spa I have ever been to, and I'm 78 years old, so I've been to many over the years. Starting with the hydrotherapy treatment was pure relaxation, and the Mayan massage was heavenly. My daughter and I spent 5 hours that afternoon immersed in a complete body treatment. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary in its selections from fresh fruits to personalized omelets to Mexican specialities.
