Right by the big church!! The breakfast is awesome as well
Jacob, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Room 33 (I believe it was) is part of the fire escape route and is rather illuminated all night long. I asked to be moved and was put in room 32 the next night, which was fine. Nice place, location and good price.
Garry, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The kitchen facilities were great. The staff was welcoming and helpful and it was nice to stay in the studio room but lots of stairs going up. Property was well maintained and a nice breakfast to start the day.
Theo, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Convent location. Price was right. Nothing fancy but just what we needed in order to enjoy Reykjavík
William, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Property was well located with free street parking nearby. Staff were friendly , room was fine. Towels could be replaced with newer ones but that's a small thing.

Tanguay, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The listing on Expedia clearly says there is free parking at the property, but really there isn’t. There is -maybe- some free parking at some road a few blocks away, or maybe some free parking at a church nearby - good luck finding those. The room was cramped, tap water had sewage smell. Breakfast was nice though.
Maxim, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Great value.
Amy, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Calls itself a guest house, more like a very basic hostel.
Derek, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Amazing value for Reykjavik. Our room was a bit noisy being on street level but apart from that very central location and everything was great
Julie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A simple guest house. Tidy and small, but just what we needed. Very convenient to downtown Reykjavik. Breakfast was simple but outstanding. The bread was amazing, and the coffee was too!

Good value accomodation close to city centre

Good stay. Cheap accomodation. Lovely bed....check in was easy...code for the main reception door....pick up keys with name written and map of where the building was...No 45...very close to the beautiful church.....toilet outside bedroom door shared with other ,2 rooms.....forgot to pick up towel from reception but not a problem.....very warm considering the wind was howling outside....close to city centre and easy to find as you can see the church from everywhere... Definitely stay there again

10/10 Exceptional

Great location, street parking

The Guesthouse is right in the center, close to a lot of sight s. Walking to great Restaurants and shopping. Self checkout and in was great, room was clean, breakfast good. The only downside is that there was no dedicated parking space, there is free street parking, but we had to park two blocks away, because there were no spaces in front of the Guesthouse.
Elisabeth, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was clean, bathrooms fairly new. Continental breakfast included. Accommodation fairly basic, but in central location close to shops, restaurants and Hallgrimskirkja. Fine for one night in an expensive city like Reykjavik.
Hayley, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Guesthouse Aurora was the perfect property to stay at for a night out in Reykjavik. Extremely walkable location, we found parking right outside (though something to note is that it is paid parking right outside on weekdays). Decent breakfast, didn’t mind the shared bathroom and there was a sink in the room. Comfortable beds. So convenient, you don’t need much in a room when staying in the city especially given how central it is, everything in Reykjavik is a few min walk or few min drive. I would stay again!
kristi, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Rooms were clean and neat. Breakfast was a good spread. We arrived early morning and it was a bit awkward/confusing to pick up the keys and towels in one building and then walk over to our room which was in another building around the corner.

Aurora review

It is a cool place. Style of the rooms are kinda simplistic ,near church, everything is close. The room was cozy and warm. Only thing that bothered me was that sheets were not clean.
Kresimir, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Breakfast was really good. I guess they are not big on customer service. You felt you are pretty much on your own, no staff except during breakfast. Don't think I will be returning.
Amelia, 7-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

First and second floors are a bit noisy with the main HEAVY door that slams.
