Great hotel to stay in Kathmandu if you are looking for a place where you can walk around and have stores and restaurants nearby. Their breakfast area is really nice, and the rooms are exactly as shown in the photos.

Exactly what we look for on our trips. A very good price/quality hotel in a busy location to enjoy the city we are visiting. Good size room, clean, the only negative side is the bathroom is under our North American expectations. Breakfast was perfect and we could enjoy it outside in a nice garden area.

Well located in the Kathmandu busy downtown district of Thamel, we enjoyed the staff superbe smiles and warm welcome. The hotel provides driver services for day long custom trips and airport transportation in recent car or minivan at a very reasonable cost. We spent 3 nights at the Nirvana and loved it. Our room was spacious and clean and had a wonderful belcony. The breakfast Buffett was lovely, and the gardens amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being a block away from great shipping. I would highly recommend the Nirvana.

I have stayed here 3 times and I will stay here again. It is my home away from home in Kathmandu. You’re right in the middle of the Thamel hurly burly, but there is a garden and waterfall and you can really enjoy the peace and pleasant surroundings. You won’t regret your stay here.

My second time staying here and if I go agian, I will stay here. Price is great, people fantastic, serive excellent. It is not the Ritz or a high end establishment but location is central, room are old but fine and clean and the service wonderful from the staff. They do go out of their way for you always. Also breakfast included, excellent. I love this place.
