Learn more about Astoria
Beneath Manhattan's shadow, this Queens neighborhood serves up a cultural feast rivaling its famous Greek cuisine. The Museum of the Moving Image celebrates cinema with interactive exhibits bringing film magic to life. Astoria Park offers spectacular views making Manhattan seem within reach. Socrates Sculpture Park displays outdoor art with the East River as backdrop. The Noguchi Museum houses stone works in a converted factory space. Steinway Street buzzes with family-owned bakeries and restaurants where locals debate which souvlaki joint deserves neighborhood loyalty. Actors flock here (they call it 'Actoria') for affordable apartments and studio proximity, giving sidewalk conversations a theatrical flair.

"The staff is phenomenal! The rooms are always spotless. The food is always amazing. Location is perfect, super close to Penn Station. This was our second time, we will definitely stay here again next time."

Hotel St. James
"The location of the hotel is excellent only about 5 minutes from Times Square. The room was basic but clean. Spacious enough for 3 of us. There weren’t enough plug sockets that would hold a travel adapter plug so that was a problem. The AC unit was so loud I had to turn it off at night as I couldn’t sleep. We had a nice stay."
Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square South
"I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 6 months and it has been great on both occasions. Fantastic staff, great location with Madison Square Garden across the block and walkable to all of Midtown. It’s also a 10 minute walk to Hudson Yards and the Javits Centre and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. If you can get an Empire view room, you won’t be disappointed. Also, free cookies on arrival. What’s not to love?"

"Great location, old hotel, crowded. Elevators are always an issue. Loved the location. Rooms could be better."
