Clean rooms and great breakfast.

It’s a really old hotel, but they keep it exceptionally clean, the staff already friendly and the breakfast was really good. There are some cute little initiatives like if you don’t have your room cleaned every day you get $10 credit to spend in the hotel. We were basically using this as a stop for trips and excursion so $30 credit paid for all our fancy coffees in the nice barista downstairs. If you are planning to spend a lot of time around the pools, then I would say look somewhere else, but if like us you will be mainly doing trips out this is a great place to stay and the price reflects what I’ve described above.

Close to main tourist strip of Cairns and everything within walking distance. Surroundings felt safe and staff helpful. The hotel is a bit tired. My main complaint is the air conditioning kept turning itself off overnight, when it hadn’t even reached the set temperature.

Great location, only 20 minutes from the airport and walking distance to everything else. Had a family room with a bunk bed in another bedroom which was great but the bottom bunk needed a good cleaning. Both bunks however had their own TV so the kids really got a kick out of that.
