The hotel & all staff were outstanding in every way from the moment we arrived to valet parking, a welcoming drink and an upgrade to a fantastic suite. The view from our balcony hot tub across Queenstown & the Lake (day & night) was amazing. The Carlin compared very favourably to other 6 star hotels we have stayed in.

Incredible experience at this property! Everything was flawless! The service was absolutely exceptional. The food was amazing and thoughtfully prepared, every detail of this stay was remarkable. One of the best hotels in my life, incredible views and every detail was considered to make it a memorable experience. The owner and all the staff were so accommodating and kind and welcoming, I can’t say enough amazing things about this property.

The Carlin is well located in easy walking distance to the Queenstown Mall and Lake Wakatipu. The complimentary airport pick-up made my arrival seamless. The rooms are modern with every detail considered. I received a surprise upgrade upon checking in. The cocktail hour and breakfast included in the rate were delicious and added value. I loved relaxing on the terrace with the hot tub and outdoor fireplace and the box of treats left at evening turndown service. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Carlin the next time I'm in Queenstown.

Was looking forward to staying here, however didn’t have the greatest stay. The balcony with spa and fireplace was excellent, however around ten pm another family opened our door with their key, which was quite startling. The bathroom had average water pressure and looked a bit tired. We were woken up in the middle of the night with the sound of wind coming through the fire door in the bedroom.
