EXCELLENT stay! We arrived extremely late after a long day sightseeing. We were greeted by an extremely friendly front desk clerk (wish I got his name) who immediately checked us in.
The following morning, we went in search of the Castles dog. We found him doing his job, right in front of the castles entrance! Grounds were lovely, Irish people have to be the absolute kindest people on earth!

From the outside it was lovely and very well kept and nice setting. The inside was also lovely and rooms lovely as well. Staff excellent. Location was a bit outside the main town but this proved an advantage being away from noise.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ireland as a must stay. The hotel itself was luxurious without being pretentious, the staff was so very helpful, it is centrally located to beach in Ballybunion, sightseeing in Killarney and the ring of Kerry, and a short drive to Adare and neighboring sights. Such a quietly elegant place. You feel like you are in Downton Abbey. The staff understands service and was gracious, helpful to a fault and friendly but never overbearing. The bathroom had a deep tub, heated towel rack and floor. It also had a terrace and a separate room as a closet. I was not in their best room but a mid-level room.
