Fairfield House - Ayr
10/10 Excellent
"great stay breakfast amazing"
Horizon Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room was a little dated but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, all the staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was great with plenty of choices and I can recommend the smoked haddock and poached eggs, we also had lunch in the hotel and I can assure you that you won’t go hungry, as for parking it’s quite a small car park and we couldn’t get parked there but there’s a larger car park directly opposite the hotel and it’s safe to park there also we were told that the staff used that car park too. If I need to stay overnight in Ayr again then I would definitely go back to the Horizon Hotel"
Cally Palace Hotel & Golf Course
10/10 Excellent
"The period furnishings and decor in the lounges were very impressive. Some areas of the property are looking a little tired, but the Cally Palace have an abundance of excellent staff. They were all so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them - definitely 5* staff. We had a lovely large bedroom, with great views at the rear. We had four evening meals in the dining room which were really good and the Cullen skink was excellent. Cally Palace was a great base for our four day break in a really lovely part of the country. Thank you to everyone at the Cally Palace."
The Cross Keys Hotel

"Excellent hotel clean throughout, staff very friendly and helpful breakfast delicious"
Adamton Country House Hotel

"Lovely last minute hotel, very clean and comfortable. Convenient for the ferry"
Ernespie House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice room, pleasant staff, only issue was that the shower took an age to get warm and when it did the pressure was literally zero, room 21"
The Kings Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Good breakfast and the restaurant was really good"
Balcary Tower
10/10 Excellent
"I have been to the tower 3 times and it is out of this world. It is in a peaceful area with views to die for. I would highly recommended this property"
Imperial Hotel
8/10 Good
"My friend and I spent Wednesday night there, and received a VERY friendly welcome from a nice lady at the reception desk. Unfortunately, there are no lifts and the stairs are rather steep and spiral too, which as two elderly men with walking sticks we found quite hazardous with our luggage. When we got to our room, which was on the first floor, the light in the shower room and loo was broken, resulting in complete darkness with the door shut. I went back and spoke to the lady who had welcomed us and her surprise at the light not working seemed 100% genuine and she apologised profusely and said she would "get it fixed". Then she very quickly and efficiently got us moved to another room, also on the first floor, which was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and friendliness but disabled people need to be aware of the stairs."
