Beech Hill Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"We stayed for 3 nights in the superior room with hot tub and lake view. We were able to get early check in, and ample parking available. The hotel is lovely and easy to find your way around. The staff are wonderful, polite and professional. It was made known prior to arrival that there was refurbishments in progress so we were given complimentary spa access, it was fairly noisy but tolerable. The room was beautiful and clean, but slightly rundown in the bathroom. I feel the price of the rooms is quite expensive for what you get. The hot tub on the balcony is covered and beautiful. spa facilities was good, pool was quite cool not as warm as expected. The only thing that let the hotel down was the expensive prices of their food, breakfast was £15pp per day, and meals for 2 people with a drink and no dessert average about £70/£80. Access to the town is good with a car but public transport is minimal with bus running 2 hourly each way. Ubers to the town are cheap ~£7/£8. There are no convenience shops nearby until you get to the town."

Seacote Hotel

"Very nice and convenient hotel for Western Lakes and West Cumbria. Station within walking distance. Local transport options available. Good for the beach."
The Belsfield Hotel

"It was too busy on our last morning as we could not have breakfast for the que wait time sadly"
Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in one of the family rooms, capable of sleeping six (One King, Four Singles) which was fantastic to find as a family of five. The room itself was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice range of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits in the room, plenty of towels etc. We used the pool and spa which were well maintained and wasn't too busy at the time we were there. We had a look at the restaurant menu for dinner which was fine for adults, but wasn't much in the way of children's options, there was Pizza available but that was the only thing our fussy kids would have had."

"Fine stay."
Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"The location was great, and the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. However, the hotel’s email and advertisement stated that a restaurant and room service were available for ordering food. One evening, we tried to eat at the restaurant but were told that it was unavailable because they were busy catering for a large group. We also tried to order room service, but were told that they were too busy to take our order. Thankfully, there were plenty of places to eat around town, so we were able to go out for dinner instead. Apart from this disappointment with the food service, everything else was great, and we had a lovely stay."

"Very helpful staff. Great location. Great breakfast. Very nice room."
Mary Mount Hotel
8/10 Good
"The breakfast buffet was excellent although the hot buffet would benefit from closed containers as the food soon became cold from the open ones. The rooms were well heated and ventilated. All the staff were excellent and very dog friendly. My only complaint was although I had asked for a ground floor room due to problems with my knees this was not available and I had to manage the stairs which was difficult. On the whole à very pleasant break"
