"Older building. Well used but in reasonably good shape. Excellent selection for breakfast foods including vegan and gluten options. Basic food but got us going for the day. Quiet area. Police station and ambulance station across the road. Easy access to highway. Had bus tour each day so was busy. Parking is comfortable with plenty extra available. "Staff let me leave my luggage at 11 in morning, and gave me the room key to use after the room had been cleaned (note - reception is closed between 11a.m. and 2) Considering the central location the hotel is very quiet The breakfast was excellent for this type of hotel. It hadvarious plant based milks and yogurts The staff generally were very cheerful - not the norm in German customer facing roles The whole stay was a pleasant surprise"

"We used buses from the airport station to reach this hotel, only 3 stops away. It seems popular with those arriving by car and leaving their car during trip away. Spacious, quiet room with good heating, fridge and bath. Lovely breakfasts and dinners in restaurant which is about to be refurbished. Very good value meals for an airport hotel. Swimming pool is popular. Bus ride into Ratingen also handy. Hotel staff helpful, if not fulsome in their friendliness. Would definitely return. "

"This hotel is a hidden gem. I loved it. Beautiful room with almost all new plumbing fixtures. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Amazing garden setting all around it. It almost feels like being in the middle of a forest in a national park. The only additional thing is I wish they had was a safety deposit box in the hotel room. The hotel management should consider installing a safety box in each room. "

"Nice and comfortable hotel for business trips, room was large, in good condition, very quiet. Only criticism was lack of choice in restaurant and one has to ask for the room to be made up , which I only realized when I came back late from a business meeting and had not been explained when checking in. Other issue was that they charged more than indicated on the Hotels.com booking, which I only found out by chance - they did refund me though but it could have easily been overlooked.
