You're not coming to Essen for the culture or scenery (or if you are then you've got different tastes to me) but for the Messe conference centre this is perfect. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are very professional. Got a nice bar, and the breakfast is good. I've stayed here 10 times and will definitely return - highly recommended.

Once inside the property was pretty nice overall. Outside has the same issues many central location have with a large number of street people. I did not hear any street noise from my 4th floor room. The breakfast was excellent in the morning.
