The beds we comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't like that the bathroom had barely any counter space for my stuff and the only plug was on the far side of the toilet. Had to place my toothbrush on the toilet tank and hair dryer cord barely reached the mirror to see what your doing.
Staff was great. Definitely pay the $40 for nightly parking on Sunday and Thursday nights so you don’t get towed on Ala Wai Blvd. Great room location was walkable. We payed a little more to have the executive suite and it was well worth it. We will definitely be back.
Have stayed here often over the years but not recently until this stay, the upgrades to rooms and AC are outstanding and the whole place has been upgraded.
For those coming from afar there are THREE ABC stores a phenom in Hawaii, within a few hundred yards of the Hotel meaning you could come with nothing and up to 11pm we well equipped for your stay. Great stay. Easy walk to the main strip of Waikiki. Parking is steal being free and only a short two blocks away. Staff is very nice, beds comfortable. Rooms clean. My 6 yo enjoyed the pool. I would stay here again anytime.
We really enjoyed the security, you can’t use the elevator if you don’t scan your card first. We also stayed in a club room, and we ate breakfast everyday. The breakfast is pretty simple but it ’s great if you don’t want to go over a budget. The club area also has happy hour everyday which we took advantage of since all drink were included! Duke's and Hula Grill are located here and are similar restaurants. They have stores located on the lower level and everything is walkable from the hotel...

This hotel was perfect for our little stay. We specifically did not want to stay in Waikiki, and this was the perfect distance away. We could still walk to the Waikiki area, but felt like we were in a quite neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel room was a suite, and we were not expecting that. Everything felt great but I would recommend adding a few small items to the breakfast. On the website it looked like there would be bagels and juice options and fruit but all there were was croissants and chocolate muffins and then cereal which doesn’t really give a full continental breakfast set up.

I loved my holidays, the hotel very well located, very comfortable, everything very close to shops, food, the mall, the beach woow super accessible, and the room with everything necessary I felt like I was in my house and have equipment for the Beach. The only thing that is super bad is that the covers of the beds were dirty and the pillows had a bad smell for not washing them maybe and the supervisor or owner does not know what his position is but it is really very very rude.
They treated us like royalty. Private, beautiful, wish we could have stayed longer. The way the resort is set up its as though the beach is private, even though all public beaches in Hawaii are public. All of the staff knew my name, even those I hadn't talked to. All of the staff was great. The manager of Hoku's was the best.
This was my second time to book in this hotel in our recent trip to Hawaii. First reason is that it's close to the airport and second they had a free airport shuttle which is super convenient. It saved us some money because we just had to return the rental car a day early because we didn't need to drive to the airport. Shuttle drivers were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was sufficient enough to start the day. Overall, I would stay again the next time we go back to Hawaii. Mahalo!
It is the third time we stayed and it was wonderful. Great service and pool was awesome! Housekeeping was efficient when we needed towels. Love this hotel, the price and great for getting everywhere without the traffic and crowded streets in Waikiki.
