I would definitely come back to Yellow Nest. This place was very welcoming, beautiful and quiet. I wish I had booked more stays not just one night since there are a lot of activities included in the stay. Dante, George and the rest of the staff were amazing.
We had a great stay at Cielo Maya. Located right on the beach with a pier and some hammocks. Also has a pool and some swinging chairs. Breakfast was included and great considering all the options. Rooms are a little dated without any USB ports but otherwise clean and very comfortable for the price. We were also able to rent a car directly from the hotel which was a great benefit and helped us a lot with day trips to other Mayan ruins and a beautiful lagoon. Villas de Rosa Beach Resort was great. If you're looking to escape the mega resort trap and get out on your own, this is the place for you. The staff was soooo great. A big thank you to Noel, the manager, our cleaning crew, and every staff member we encountered. They gave great recommendations of things to do and really looked after us.
The beds were very comfortable, clean rooms, and kitchen was well stocked with all that you need. The beach is perfect, powdery white and the ocean so warm....
Beautiful hotel. We loved our room with the private pool/jet tub, as well as another main pool that overlooks the ocean. The entire staff was welcoming and went the extra mile to accommodate us. There is an onsite restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and dinner as well. We did not have the chance to see it during our stay, but there is also a cenote down the road that is bike riding distance. Bicycles are available to ride. I would love to return again.
My wife and my 4 daughters stayed at the Barcelo Maya Palace to celebrate my daughter’s 15th Birthday. We loved every minute of our stay. The staff were friendly. The service exceptional. The pools were amazing. The pool water is warm and we were able to swim in them at night. We never had a problem finding pool chairs or beach chairs. Playa Esperanza is the perfect place to unwind, it’s super ideal for a couples getaway or honeymoon. All the staff is super nice and helpful. The only downside for me, it’s that not all of their rooms have AC, they’re an eco friendly hotel and there is no fridge, iron or hair dryer, and they shut the power for a couple of hours as they are running on generators. But I love that they care about the environment!
We just returned from a week at Jashita and couldn't recommend the hotel more. It's truly a special place perched at the end of Solomon Bay, just a short jaunt away from the great restaurants, hotels, and nightlife of the Tulum puebla and beach. But most importantly, with all that Jashita has to offer, why leave?

Had a week's stay here and just got back. The accommodations are excellent and the dining options in and around the hotel are also great. There's a good mix of food and by the looks of the new development around Nerea Tulum, there'll be even more soon. The Cenote nearby is great, the staff has some hustlers though, also don't be alarmed there are live crocs but friendly...well as friendly as a 3 billion-year-old killing machine can be. The complimentary breakfast is a great perk too. Good...
The TRS Yucatan was part of a larger group of related hotels on a very large beautiful beach and jungle property. The butlers at our villa, especially Emilio, were very welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to the many facets of the resort. The transportation cart service was quick and the drivers very friendly.....though by following the seaside/beach everything was also very walkable. Food was excellent....green juice at Helios was my favorite!
Great place to stay if you want easy, clean LARGE unit. Stocked kitchen makes it easy to save and cook meals. Large deck with table and hammocks overlooking the ocean and stairs to the beach isn't too shabby. 2 pools (1 adult and 1 kid) are very nice and there's a quiet, secluded beach right in front of you. Sea turtles nesting all over the beach. Great snorkeling in front of hotel and about a 15 min walk down the beach. Definitely a place to go if you want the "opposite of Cancun" experience.
My husband and I came to Akumal Bay for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our stay! The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would absolutely come here again and plan to do so in the future. I highly recommend having a photo shoot done with their on site photographer Conrado who is amazing at what he does and I am SO GLAD we got these pictures to commemorate our special time here.
