This is a nice, friendly place, and we're happy to have stayed here. We were here during Celtic Colours, and if your going to a concert and a venue near Wycocomagh, I highly recommend it.
Hands down the best place I stayed on Cape Breton Island. My experience was 5 hotels in seven days. The room was quite a bit more than Keltic lodge a night but room was updated, convenient, lots of amenities, clean, superior bathroom products like soap, shampoo conditioner. I stayed in room 5 on the corner. Excellent room on the corner of the main lodge. The room even had a ceiling fan so I could sleep to the nice motor hum like I do at my own home.
The restaurant on the property was...
Be prepared for the highway in front to be too loud for sitting outside under the rain cover - but the rear water-view and Adirondack chairs are wonderful!
This property was awesome, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful, we had a wonderful bay view, and it was conveniently located to shops and restaurants. My only suggestion is if you need to use an elevator to access your room, make sure to include that when you make your reservation, because this property has 4 separate buildings, but only 1 of the buildings has an elevator in it. We would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was welcoming and informative.
The place is dated however, the beds are comfortable and location is good for accessing Baddeck.
Rainy and cold outside, but wonderful and cozy inside.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food was great at the restaurant, best chicken sandwich I ever had, my husband had the fish cakes and he absolutely loved them.
