The hotel was super clean, all staff incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a bus station near by to take you into the city. Breakfast every morning with a personal chef to cook whatever you desire. The food was delicious and accommodating.

The breakfast was awesome, the room was elegant, and the staff were remarkably kind! Highly recommend!

I would give Edelweiss 1000 stars if that were an option. I almost hesitate to write this for fear of spoiling what feels like such a precious, tucked away gem. Charming facility at first stop of gondola which made for a fun ride and intro to Grindelwald. Trotti bikes were a blast and charged with the fear of a major wipeout at any moment. :-) The food at Berghaus was wonderful ... We had both breakfast and dinner plans. The bathroom down the hall was a surprise as I didn't read the details but it was never a problem as our family had our own dedicated bathroom. The hikes in the local area were fabulous for us ... Half day fun with a nice lunch...

This is a lovely hotel near the cable car that goes up the mountain. You can ski right up to the front door of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was very extensive and well-supplied, with high quality food. I had a very enjoyable stay here, and would come again without hesitation. The hotel is at the other end of town from the train station. It is a good 10 minute walk, and since Murren is a car-less village, you will have to haul your luggage,...

This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly. You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants! The hotel is beautiful! The upgraded rooms are amazing and the amenities are to die for. I had a single upgraded room that had a balcony facing the Wetterhorn. I would enjoy my coffee on the balcony each...

The staff was wonderful and helpful and the room was adequate. Breakfast was great and you won't forget the view. Pool was nice. Be careful with the hotel restaurant...it's a bit pricey. The town of Murren doesn't allow cars and it's a bit of ordeal to get to but it's charming. The town is dead after dark (at least in September)

Excellent boutique hotel in a great area with incredible views. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. All amenities were top notch and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the spa was such a treat. The complimentary laundry facilities were so appreciated as we had been travelling for some time before our stay at the Glacier. Overall, I would not hesitate to return.

Central, convenient, easy access to all mountain excursions. Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains right in your face.

First time to Switzerland for my gf. We wanted to hike around the area and enjoy small mountain town experience. We chose the Gletschergarten based upon other customer reviews. Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is conveniently located. The local bus service is free for guests, provides easy connection to the train station. We had dinner one night in the hotel. The Sunstar Alpine Hotel are I stayed is located within an easy walking distance to the train station in Wengen. I could hit the station with a rock from my balcony at the hotel. Wengen is a good location to explore the many hiking trails and other points of interest including Jungfraujoch that are in the Interlaken, Jungfrau region. Wengen is a beautiful, small alps town that is great to skiers in winter and hikers in summer. It is my choice over Murren or Grindelwald. It is easy to get to by...

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A once in a lifetime type beauty. But hopefully I'll be back again! The pool was great and I was traveling with two 20-something kids and a 15 yr old. Staff was very nice. We ate dinner in the hotel...but not the "included" with your room dining room. It was good. Breakfast was also good...typical, but good.

Great little hotel in Grindelwald. Easy to walk to rest of town or take the bus. Rooms are clean and have great views. Breakfast was good. Would definitely return!

Literally the best, most spectacular views of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Location is a bit tricky, as you have to take a train up from Lauterbrunnen then walk about 6-7 minutes up and down hill to get there,. But it is entirely worth it once Interlacken and other points by train. Also, this hotel has a wonderful breakfast, with a wide selection of meats, fruits, cheese, breads and cereals.
