Kona Coast Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was excellent! The only downside is that there isn’t direct beach access. Other than that, it’s a great hotel, and we would definitely stay here again."
PACIFIC 19 Kona
10/10 Excellent
"I love this property! The staff is friendly and professional. I always book two rooms and they always do their best to get both rooms as close together as possible. The rooms are usually clean. Sometimes they miss hairs in the bathroom or in the sheets from previous guests but that’s not a huge issue for me. Every room I’ve had has a balcony or lanai if you’re on the first floor. The A/C works great. Beds are comfortable. The bamboo garden adds a sense of serenity. I haven’t had a chance to use the pool yet but it looks nice. The location is very close to where all the Kona souvenir shops are and easy to walk to. The restaurant next door, Quinn’s is excellent. Wish I would have tried it before on previous visits but now I know. Airport is 15 minutes away. I will keep coming back."
Holua Resort
8/10 Good
"Our family enjoyed our stay here. The property is very well kept. The room was very clean although the AC had a little smell lingering. Every basic thing was available especially for the kitchen. There is no housekeeping so you can just call the front desk and ask if you need to replenish whatever’s. One thing I’d like to mention is that after you check in, they have you go to another desk for this time share thing which we weren’t interested in. They will hold $40 on your card and if you do not attend the presentation, the $40 will auto charge to your card. If you are not interested in that, I recommend just letting them know that you are not interested."
Mauna Lani, Auberge Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful property with helpful and attentive staff. The hotel grounds were well kept and we even found some great walking paths (in both directions) from the beach. The beach itself is a little rocky but but very beautiful to snorkel from and we saw such beautiful fish and many sea turtles! We also appreciated the well stocked market for coffee, snacks and gifty items. We did not use the spa, but it smelled wonderful on our way to the gym. The Goop store is an excellent touch and the hotel boutique had a great selection of mens and women's bathing suits, hats, sunglasses, totes, jewelry, dresses and purses. They had a small section for kids. The closest mall 'nearby', where the Tommy Bahama restaurant was, is not worth going to unless you need a grocery store. Most retail stores were for rent. There was another shopping area near Waikoloa (Kings and Queens market) with lot's of options and the famous Shave Ice! Note - we did not make restaurant reservations prior to arriving, and we paid the price. We either had zero availability at places we wanted to go, or got stuck with unfavorable time options. It all worked out fine, but we had three dinner meals at their beach bar (which does have a famous chef behind it) - the food was delicious! *Definitely make a Canoe House resy a month or few weeks out. Merriman's is another to get into."
Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is in a perfect location on the public beach. We loved spending time on the sandy beach. There are countless things to do in the area. I wish beach chairs and an umbrella would have been included at no charge. We enjoyed the pool area right next to the beach."
Fairmont Orchid

"Helped us a lot during hurricane. Kept power"
Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel with wonderful pools and beach. Wish there were more restaurant options and more free chairs on the beach, but besides that.... It was awesome."
Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort

"Great property for a family vacation. Loved the bikes. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time!"
