We could not have been more pleased with Aston Kona by the Sea. We had Unit 106 which was 2 bed and 2 bath. There was a sofa bed also (a little sloped but livable). The unit was completely perfect for our needs. First, we had a fantastic view of the ocean from our lanai. There were sliding doors in the living room and master bedroom. This was great because you could go out on the lanai from the master and not disturb someone sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen was updated and equipped...
Me and the wife enjoyed staying at this hotel and its proximity to the snorkeling beach. They had all kinds of boogey boards, paddle boards, snorkel and fins, beach towels, chairs and such for you to use at no extra fee. Washer and dryer on site. A vey nice place to BBQ if you like with all the seasonings and sauces provided for you to use. The room had cooking utensils and such to prepare meals. I would stay here again. The lady Gigi that runs the place was a pleasure to meet.
The place was perfect, the time fell on the major storm and Don made sure my daughter’s stay was safe. Don gave her a late check to accommodate her late flight. It was a decent stay. Would stay again. The bathroom shower needed some attention . Mold and mildewy on the plastic shower curtain liner. Other than that, it was older and a bit dated, but it was comfortable and clean for the most part.
It is really very close to the beach, you can even walk it.i also love the place itself. very quiet. The only thing really is the air con is very loud that you can’t sleep! That is the tie breaker. Either you sleep in comfort with the loud sound of the air conditioner blasting loud into your ear or hot but quiet during the night.
