"There were a lot to f bugs flying around the outside light, next to an unworking bug zapper. You could not open the door w/out a bunch flying in."

"Stay here if sleep and quiet don’t matter to you. The price and location are very good. The noise was unbearable. They removed the rugs and I think the walls are made of cardboard. You can hear everything around you from outside, next door, upstairs. Footsteps and dragging furniture and bags upstairs all night long. Dogs running around in the room. It was an awful night’s sleep. Additionally there are no outlets by the bed so you can’t keep your phone near you when you sleep. They just put in new lamps. Why did you not buy the lamps with outlets????? I have stayed here about 20 times. The noise last night put me over the edge."

"The property is very old but nicely maintained…. It does look more attractive in the pictures. The room wasn’t cleaned the second day of our stay and when we asked to have it cleaned we were told the cleaners stop working at noon but they would bring us clean towels which never happened. Our other issue was the shower which went hot and cold, hot and cold constantly. It reminds me of a fixed up old roadside hotel. We would not return"

"Calistoga Inn is a great option for a one-night stay in the heart of Calistoga. The hotel has a lot of historic charm, and our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Since the rooms have shared bathrooms, having a sink in the room was especially convenient and made the setup much more comfortable than expected. The shared bathrooms were also better than anticipated—each men’s and women’s bathroom had two toilet stalls and two showers, and there was always plenty of availability, so we never had to wait. The showers were stocked with towels and shampoo, which made the shared setup even more convenient. Our room windows faced the restaurant patio and sat right above the kitchen, so it was definitely on the noisy side between kitchen staff conversations and the hum of the AC unit. That said, it was also fun to hear the live music in the evening, which added to the lively atmosphere. The hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs, which made sleeping easy and solved the noise issue. A nice bonus in the morning was coffee and tea available in the lobby, along with delicious freshly baked chocolate chip scones. Parking is street-only, but we had no trouble finding a spot on the side streets behind the hotel."
