"The new management has executed a very successful plan designed to make this motel very safe, clean, and welcoming. I was a little leery of the location when I reserved my room because I know downtown Chico, but I saw no indication of transients or undesirable elements. The breakfast was good, the room almost too clean (see explanation), and the staff very helpful. The only downsides were the smell of bleach when entering the room and a TV that I couldn't make work. Since I was able to open the window and air the room out, and I did not ask for help with the TV, I did not deduct a star, but I did let management know about both issues before I left. Most importantly, I would not hesitate to stay there again. When weighing quality with price, it is the best value in town!"
