Learn more about Guanajuato
Beneath a rainbow of hillside houses, narrow callejones twist through this UNESCO city where no street seems to run straight. Duck into the Callejón del Beso where balconies nearly touch, inspiring tales of forbidden romance. The ornate Juárez Theater hosts performances worth dressing up for, while the Mummy Museum displays eerily preserved remains with matter-of-fact Mexican humor about mortality. Climb the steps to the massive El Pípila monument for panoramic views that explain the city's improbable layout. Underground tunnels, once riverbeds now serving as roads, create a subterranean maze beneath your feet. University students perform as costumed troubadours, leading evening tours filled with legends and serenades that echo off colonial walls.

Antigua Trece Hotel Fusión & Spa
"BOOk THIS! We absolutely loved the Antigua Trece Hotel! The room (#22, junior suite) was spacious and beautiful, and very quiet. We didn't notice any street noise at all although the city is pretty loud at night. This is a magical location- perfectly positioned to everything in the city, and in the cutest area of town- but peaceful and quiet. The location was so perfect that we were able to sightsee during the day and easily stop back multiple times each day for the kids to use the bathroom or for us all to use the pool. The pool is very nice and the perfect temperature. We used it daily and it is a beautiful setup with plants all around adding stunning ambiance and the right amount of shade. The kids loved it. And the style of the whole place is just gorgeous. Beautiful touches everywhere, and it is all very well kept. The breakfast is good (especially the chilaquiles) and the staff are lovely and kind, especially for the breakfast, housekeeping, and on the roof deck. Speaking of the roof deck, it is WOW. I knew it was a perk of the hotel and it was a factor in booking Antigua Trece, but I had no idea how amazing it was. It is huge and the views are 360 degrees, and absolutely stunning. You can see the funincular running against the incredible cityscape while you enjoy a drink on a comfy couch with beautiful potted plants all around. The staff are happy to let you just hang out but I recommend sitting for a bit with a drink, as this view is really beyond compare."
"I would recommend changing the breakfast menu every so often. The breakfast buffet was basically the same foods every day. The fruit also. Changing to have more of a variety. Having ice available for guests would also be a plus instead of drinking room temperature water and juices. Other than that, our stay was amazing."
Hotel Real de Minas Guanajuato
"El restaurante no abre temprano así que no pudimos desayunar en el hotel, en general nos gustó mucho el hotel."
