"Brilliant location. The Deputy Manager was very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was self serve and was delicious and plentiful. Parking outside the hotel is avaliable for 4 hours max during certain times (pay at meter), however you can purchase a 24 hour permit from Reception for £6. We'd definitely stay again. "Spa was excellent. Loved the variety of steam/sauna rooms and pools. The outdoor pool was great and the indoor one with the glass stained roof was amazing. So chilled and relaxing. The hotel room was very spacious. Staff were friendly. The Darwin’s Bar was cosy and welcoming. We had two cocktails which were very well made. Only let down was the restaurant. If we were to stay again we’d eat somewhere else. "

"Room was well-appointed, of a decent size and with a refurbished bathroom. Housekeeping staff friendly and efficient. The Lee Wood has always been one of my favourite hotels in Buxton. Only complaint was that it didn’t snow - which is hardly the fault of the hotel!"

"A last minute booking and we felt very lucky and blessed to find this amazing hotel. From the minute we arrived we were given first class service! Lovely touches, like fresh milk and a welcome bottle of beer and prosecco in our room. A fabulous gala dinner and breakfast and then finished with an amazing picnic to take away with us People friendly, dog friendly and in an idyllic location Thank you to manager Andy and all your amazing staff"
