Canberra City Centre
Canberra City Centre balances political power and artistic expression in Australia's thoughtfully designed capital. You can stroll around Lake Burley Griffin, visit the National Gallery, or marvel at Parliament House's impressive architecture. The wide boulevards lined with native trees create a formal yet peaceful atmosphere for exploring cultural institutions. Cafés and restaurants cater to government workers but welcome visitors seeking Australian and international cuisine. Hotels range from business-focused to boutique properties with modern amenities. Getting around is simple with excellent bus networks, light rail connections, and pedestrian-friendly streets perfect for walking or cycling.

Kingston
Kingston Foreshore brings Lake Burley Griffin to life with waterfront dining and scenic walking paths that'll make you forget you're in the city. The Old Bus Depot Markets buzz with local artisans selling everything from handcrafted jewelry to gourmet treats. Explore the Jerrabomberra Wetland Nature Reserve or join locals paddling across the calm waters. Canberra's mountains create a perfect backdrop for your morning coffee. Upscale restaurants and trendy cafes line the waterfront, serving modern Australian cuisine with lake views. Accommodation options range from luxury serviced apartments to boutique hotels, most within walking distance of the main attractions. Well-connected bus routes make exploring the broader Canberra area a breeze.

Braddon
Braddon buzzes with creative energy as Canberra's hippest neighborhood, where industrial roots have blossomed into artistic flair. Converted warehouses now house galleries, design studios, and the must-see Canberra Contemporary Art Space. Lonsdale Street hums with life as locals and visitors hop between artisanal coffee shops, craft breweries, and independent boutiques. The area strikes that perfect balance between edgy and welcoming. The food scene is a major draw, with options ranging from casual cafes to upscale restaurants serving modern Australian cuisine. Most attractions sit within a five-minute walk of the Light Rail station, making exploration a breeze. Boutique hotels and stylish apartments offer design-focused stays for those wanting to soak up the neighborhood's artistic vibe.

Barton
Barton combines civic grandeur with natural beauty in Canberra's administrative heart. Parliament House rises majestically above manicured lawns, while Old Parliament House offers a glimpse into Australia's political history. The Parliamentary Triangle connects impressive government buildings through tree-lined boulevards. Lake Burley Griffin's sparkling waters provide a scenic backdrop for walks between national monuments and memorials. Well-maintained paths make exploring the area on foot a pleasure, with excellent bus connections to downtown Canberra. Government-oriented restaurants and cafés cater primarily to officials during weekdays, so weekend visitors should plan meals accordingly. Upscale hotels dominate the accommodation scene, reflecting the neighborhood's prestigious status.

Parkes
The Parkes neighborhood has lots to see including National Portrait Gallery and High Court of Australia.

Meriton Suites Canberra
"Great hotel. Was unfortunately placed in a room next to a noisy carpark next door. Had tyres screeching all night waking up my young family. Not a great sleep and we were exhausted. Tried to convey that issue with reception but they just fobbed it off and could have relocated us as the place wasn't overrull. They didnt want to assist which is a shame. Best you check.yiir rooms of it ends with a 9 10 11 steer away its the carpark side of the building.. .."
Hotel Realm
"A fabulous hotel with lovely staff and great dining options. The rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows, and blockout curtains. It was quiet too! The health club had good equipment as well as the lap pool and hot tub. Perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The lobby has many seating areas and fireplaces perfect for a quiet spot for a drink and chat away from the busy bar."
