Learn more about Trinidad
Dramatic headlands plunge into the Pacific at Trinidad State Beach, where tide pools reveal starfish and anemones between crashing waves. Kayakers paddle through sea caves while harbor seals watch from offshore rocks. The fishing village atmosphere remains authentic in this tiny coastal community where the working harbor supplies fresh catch to local tables. Hikers discover ancient giants in nearby Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, with trails winding through fern-filled canyons beneath ancient trees. Sue-meg State Park offers clifftop views that have attracted artists for generations. Moonstone Beach rewards visitors with agates and driftwood treasures. Trinidad's ten public beaches provide solitude even in summer, when fog creates mysterious coastal tableaux before revealing California's most spectacular shoreline.

"Cozy and clean cottage with everything you need for a short stay. The bed in our room is a bit small but it was ok for us."
Emerald Forest Cabins
"You can't go wrong with those amazing redwoods all around you. I would like to suggest that the kitchen be stocked with a roll of paper towels and some small spoons. The addition of a small hook to hang the hand towel in the bathroom would have been a useful addition."
The Historic Schoolhouse Inn
"It was a nice room. But if you saw the sink in the bathroom you would laugh it is the size of a washcloth"
The Lookout at Trinidad Bay
"Justin the owner was fantastic and so helpful! He recently purchased the property and plans to renovate in the low season. I think this will make an already great B&B even better. The only things I think were really missing were blackout curtains, the curtains were really flimsy and thin so we were up with the sun, and a daily housekeeping refresh. At this price point I expect to see the bed made and towels refreshed daily, so that was a bit of a let down. Room was large and clean, breakfast was delicious and generous portions."
