Learn more about Alameda
Across the bay from San Francisco, this island city offers a refreshing escape with its small-town atmosphere and spectacular skyline views. Pedal along the waterfront path at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach to enjoy the famous panorama. The USS Hornet Museum, a decommissioned aircraft carrier, houses naval history and Apollo mission recovery artifacts. Marriott Vacation Club®, San Francisco
"Clean room, helpful staff, great valet parking and services"
Holiday Inn Golden Gateway by IHG
"The snap is what made our experience so good! Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was not working correctly in the hotel. Luckily two staff members helped us both days we were there! Can’t say enough about the bellhop and the security officer!"
Parc 55 San Francisco - A Hilton Hotel
"This hotel is really beautiful, safe, well-kept and clean inside and we really enjoyed our room. The beds were comfortable and fresh, and the room had a lovely view as we were several floors up. The staff were very kind and helpful, and even provided us toothbrushes and toothpaste since we both forgot ours. My bestie and I were in town for a concert and only stayed one night, so it was perfect for that. My only complaint is the exorbitant amount of money we had to pay for parking. The hotel has valet only parking and it was $90 per night per vehicle. Since my friend I were meeting in San Francisco and live in different cities, we both had to pay for this which I thought was ridiculous. I wish valet was an option and not a necessity, and that they had self-parking or other more affordable options. Just beware of this and prepare for the extra cost if you stay here."

"Clean large room"
Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf
"The Riu plaza Fisherman’s wharf was well located for our visit to San Francisco. Staff were friendly at check in. The room was clean, air con worked well and had fridge. Bathroom was on the small size with a bath and fixed shower which was quite low for my 6foot husband. Breakfast was included with the stay, we had to queue each day but staff worked hard to clear tables and this moved quickly. The was a good selection of food which was hot and fresh. Lots of options for food locally and easy to get public transport to the rest of the city."
