Great location on Union Square, lobby staff so kind and friendly. We had a great room, you can tell the building is old but they've modernised the decor. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Handlery. Our room was lovely. The staff was very accommodating and there were several wonderful restaurants right around the corner. We found it very convenient for both Bart and Muni as we were going to the concert in Golden Gate Park I would most definitely stay there again

The place is very centrally located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. While the area is prepared for petty crime potential it felt very safe. The hotel is a beautiful historic building, definitely needs some attention, but very clean. The staff are extraordinarily kind and helpful.

This hotel was a perfect location for us. We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed it. Didn’t have any time to use the amenities, but the pool seemed nice. Room was clean and restocked each day for us.

The room was nice and comfortable. However walking from check in the newer wing of the hotel was awkward and required a walk with luggage up a steep flight of stairs. Elevator lift not working

The hotel is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms are quiet, comfy and clean. Location is perfect for a SF escape. I stayed with family and my dog. Room needs a microwave. I will stay next visit for sure! Customer service is excellent.

Room was on the 7th floor and had a great view, and the pool was a bonus. This hotel was a big upgrade one we used last year near Union Square and is recommended.

Everything about the Handlery was Top Notch: From the staff to the pool, to the room , to the late check-out because it was a birthday celebration, this was the absolute best. Wound highly recommend to any traveler or local who just wanted a staycation. They were friendly and beyond kind. Thank you for a great visit.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the hotel. The location was perfect and right at the heart of union square. Staff were friendly and rooms were very clean. My only suggestion is for brighter lights for the hallways, the low dim lights made you feel a bit uncomfortable and gave an eerie feeling. Overall, we still recommend this hotel 😊

This was not our first trip here and the staff knew that and welcomed us back! The room was a nice size, clean and had everything we needed ... including a quiet side of the hotel. Comfy beds, all the amenities we needed - perfect friends' trip weekend.

Placed in Union Square it was ideal for what we wanted, As we drove and parked nearby traffic was heavy as expected so did take time to get out. We stayed for two nights and could not fault the hotel or staff, would recommend this hotel to anyone.
