This hotel so far exceeded our expectations. It is extremely well run. It has a long history of receiving awards and we could see why. Not what I would expect from an Econolodge. It is wonderful a s view amazing from the back!
I requested a first floor room near the pool because I was traveling with an elderly legally blind man and meeting with a client with mobility limitations. Our room was instead at the top of the stairs and Dad got lost on the elevator. If the hotel can’t accommodate the need, the guest should be notified at the time of booking. Breakfast was great, though.
Front desk lady has been there a while and runs a tight friendly ship. Breakfast is way more than you’d expect. Cleaning crew sings while they work. Plenty o parking. Rates fair.
I was so very excited to arrive at this hotel and have it be everything I had hoped for. Our check in was efficient and we were so excited to see our room--spacious, clean, and modern. Perfect. We loved the extras like the on property smalll grocery/gift shop, beautiful public spaces like the hot tub and pool, fireplace area with magazines and games, and free coffee.
This was our second stay at Open Hearth and honestly, I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else. From the owners being more than accommodating (WIFI wasn't working in our room, it was fixed in 5 minutes), to the overall staff friendlyness, to the clean room and amazing breakfast (ok, lets talk about that pancake machine - AMAZING!!) This was a great experience. Bed was a little hard for my liking, but can't win everything.... and everything else was PERFECT!
Check in was easy, the woman at the front desk was very nice! Our room was comfortable and clean. The funky patterns on the walls and blinds was a really cool touch! We stayed only one night, not even 24 hours, but I’d stay again. The price was good and the location was out of the busy area of Fish Creek but still close enough to walk to everything.
No management staff on property but very accessible and responsive remotely via text. Everything was very automated from check in/out and turning on/off the fire pit.
The stay here felt very comfortable and homely. The place is tucked away so you don't get traffic sounds or car exhausts. Breakfast every morning felt like I was a fancy bed and breakfast.
