Absolutely loved my experience at Locanda Della Maria. During my search for a hotel in Lake Como, I found most of the accommodations to be outdated and super expensive. Locanda Della Maria is not only extremely affordable relative to other options, but it is contemporary and very clean! AC works great and a fantastic breakfast is included (coffee, fruits, cereals, croissants, breads, meats, cheeses, and cakes). The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable. However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.
