This place was great! Recommend to all. The staff go above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcome. Clean, solid breakfast, very kind staff who asked us every time they saw us if we needed anything (and offered toiletries, towels, room cleaning, directions, advice). The polla a la brassa across the street was very good and only 30 soles per meal--don't get ripped off by the tourist restaurants on the main street.

The hostal was only a 3 minute walk from The train station and 2 min to the bus station to line up to head to Machu Picchu. The host was wonderful! He told us what time we should be at the bus stop and even prepare a bag breakfast the night before so we can take with us in the morning. We had a room with two single beds and they were quite comfortable. The showers had hot water and pressure was decent. The WiFi is a bit spotty but that’s mostly everywhere. Hotel Tierra In is in the best location in Machu Picchu pueblo. It is close to everything but also very quiet so you can take a good rest at night.
