We were very happy with our choice of the Sonesta Posadas. It is definitely a hotel designed for tourists and most everyone we met there was from the US or Europe. It is right on Lake Titicaca, and is behind a gate/wall which makes it quieter and safer. It is slightly outside of the main city area, but if you want to go downtown cabs are plentiful and cheap. The Staff was really courteous, helpful and just wonderful. They assisted us with making taxi reservations, provided maps, suggested dining choices etc. The hotel's breakfast buffet was hearty and had great choices. We had dinner the evening before we left and the food was great; reasonably priced and huge servings not to mention delicious. I'd recommend this anytime. Showers/bathroom was clean had great water pressure. My room had a queen sized bed and with plenty of walking room left.
