The hotel is about a 15-20 min taxi ride from the main part of town. And have the address handy as the driver didn't know where it was right away. But it's on a main highway so he ended up finding it. Since it's so far out, we made friends with the taxi driver and he ended up being our driver while we were in Puno. We were very happy with our choice of the Sonesta Posadas. It is definitely a hotel designed for tourists and most everyone we met there was from the US or Europe. It is right on Lake Titicaca, and is behind a gate/wall which makes it quieter and safer. It is slightly outside of the main city area, but if you want to go downtown cabs are plentiful and cheap.
